Self-developed EOS Audio Engine

The DMP-A8 utilizes the self-developed EOS (Eversolo Original sampling-rate audio engine), supporting output at all audio original sampling rate. In other words, any audio playback can entirely bypass the Android SR limitation, supporting the Direct audio passthrough of third-party apps (Such as Apple Music hi-res Direct output).

Versatile Master Recording

Playback and Decoding The DMP-A8 supports nearly all ultra-high sampling master recording formats available in the market, including CD-quality formats (FLAC, WAV, APE) and DSD512 (.dsf/.dff/.iso/dst) stereo and MOA etc.

Equipped with a large 6″ LCD high-definition touchscreen, the DMP-A8 features a professionally tailored streamer system, simple but exquisite user interface, as well as on-screen intuitive touch controls for system settings, local music library and third-party apps. It provides a seamless interactive experience.

Rich Inputs and Outputs

DMP-A8 can be used as a digital turntable to connect with various high-end DAC by HDMI IIS, USB, opti- cal, and coaxial outputs. As a DAC, it supports a wide range of digital inputs: 2 coaxial, 2 optical, USB B input to connect PCs and mobile devices. As a high-performance preamplifier, it supports analog inputs XLR and RCA. It also supports APT HD Bluetooth audio input, making it easy to connect with various dig- ital audio sources. The DMP-A8 can be directly paired with active speakers or power amplifier via analog preamp outputs RCA and XLR. The Trigger out port can achieve the linkage with power amplifier systems.

Flexible Storage Expansion

An M.2 NVMe SSD slot is built in at the bottom of the DMP-A8, allowing for convenient SSD installation without disassembling the device. The DMP-A8 supports SSD up to 4 TB, with faster speed and less noise, providing stable storage for high-quality local music. Additionally, storage devices can be connected externally through the USB OG port of DMP-A8.

Dual Power Supplies Design

In order to eliminate interference and noise between the system circuit and the audio circuit, and to enhance sound purity, separate designs are employed for the power supply of the system and the audio circuit. The linear power supply is composed of a multi-winding toroidal transformer, specifically designed to match the characteristics of analog audio circuits. The high-quality switching power supply is tailored for the system cir- cuit. It significantly reduces ripple and magnetic leakage interference, providing strong support for high-qual- ity audio processing. Furthermore, it incorporates a patented smart switching technology for the linear power supply voltage input, enabling compatibility with voltages worldwide without flipping switches.

Multi-Core USB Audio Interface

Equipped with a multi-core USB Audio interface that delivers higher processing speed and bandwidth, the A8 ensures stable transmission of high-resolution audio. The USB supports up to
DSD512 Native and PCM 768kHz/32bit formats, While the optical and coaxial outputs support DoP64 and PCM 192kHz/24bit.

Dual High-precision Clocks

There are 2 ultra-low phase noise femtosecond high-precision clocks for audio decoding circuit (45.1584MHz and 49.152MHz), which correspond to the decoding of 44.1KHz and 48KHz multiplied sampling rates respectively. This effectively suppresses Jitter, ensuring highly accurate conversion and decoding of digital-to-analog audio signals, providing ultra-high dynamic range and resolution for analog audio output and reproduces the real sound details from music studio.

Smart Control App

Android/iPhone/iPad compatible intelligent control apps have been developed for DMP-A8 especially. In addition to basic playback control and local system settings, the app interface can asynchronously view data from the music library, system applications, and menus. It can browse and play built-in streaming ser- vices through the control app, making it very convenient for both on-music playback and music data view- ing. A remote control with infrared and Bluetooth dual-mode support is also provided. The DMP-A8 also adds a Trigger output, DMP-A8 controls the power-on and standby of the power amplifier, eliminating the need to manually turn on the power supply, enabling multi-device linkage. WOL (Wake on LAN) is also supported to power on and off remotely, it is needed to connect DMP-A8 to wired network.

CD Playback and Ripping

The DMP-A8 allows for CD playback by connecting an external USB optical disc. The CD Rip app adopts data validation mechanism and error correction function to save audio data from CD losslessly. The algorithm intelligently matches CD album and track names (officially released CDs are required), rips tracks and generates album and artist info automatically.

Effective Media Management System

DMP-A8 offers a robust media management system that enables copying, pasting, cutting, delet- ing files from local hard drive and network storage. USB Type-C port can be configured as USB OTG mode, making it easy to connect PC to DMP-A8 via USB cable for local file copying and man- agement. SMB sharing function allows to share files from connected mobile device or internal SSD to other media playback devices, computers or mobile devices in the LAN. So that DMP-A8 can be
used as a network storage device to share audio sources at any time.
